We are Tracey (British and Irish national) and Jacques (French).
Jacques started sailing dinghies on lake Annecy as a teenager and moved on to monohulls of various sizes, mostly chartered in the Med and in the Caribbean. Tracey started sailing on our friend's trimaran, a Corsair 31, from Sardinia to southern France, via Corsica. Jacques has various French sailing certificates and Tracey got her sailing certication in Gibraltar.
Tracey and Jacques have enjoyed sailing together on bareboat charters for the last 20 years, in the Med (France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, etc.) and in the Caribbean (BVI's, Antigua and Barbuda, Guadeloupe, St Martin, St Barths, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines to name a few. Sometimes on their own, sometimes with friends and family, sometimes in a flotilla, they have enjoyed sailing in all conditions and in numerous places. Experience was built over the last 20 years on monohulls (Med and the Caribbean), catamarans (Caribbean), a total of nearly 30 different boats. and about 10'000 nautical miles. As retirement finally arrived, they decided to purchase their own boat and become "live aboard" in 2023. After some careful consideration and based on their experience, they selected a Neel 51 trimaran made in La Rochelle in 2018.
There are many reasons why this particular boat was selected and this is a subject we will explore later in details.
Our program is to stay in the Med until 2025, and then head west as far as we can go!
